[Wellness Festa 2026] Mission Vegetable Successfully Held
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the Health Administration Center held the Wellness Festa “Mission Vegetable” in collaboration with the Gifu University Co-op Student Committee (GI) and the Gifu City Public Health Center at the Wellness Room and the multipurpose room on the second floor of the Health Administration Center. The event was organized to promote wellness through the theme of food and healthy eating habits.
At the Wellness Room, participants were able to use the Veggie Check, a device that visualizes vegetable intake levels, receive easy-to-make recipes featuring vegetables, and consult with registered dietitian Maki Takada from the Health Administration Center regarding their dietary habits. A total of 39 students participated in these activities, listening attentively to Ms. Takada’s advice and, in some cases, actively asking questions about their own eating habits. Students who participated in the event and completed the questionnaire received a complimentary vegetable juice. During the Veggie Check activity, many students commented that they had been eating fewer vegetables than they had expected.
In the multipurpose room on the second floor of the Health Administration Center, an easy cooking class was held with the support of the Gifu City Public Health Center. The class was offered in two sessions, with eight students participating in each session for a total of 16 participants. Students learned how to prepare simple and healthy meals using only a microwave oven. Participants commented that “the food we made was delicious and satisfying” and even joked that they were “so full it was hard to move afterward.”
The Wellness Festa will continue to be held in the future, and we look forward to welcoming even more participants to upcoming events. Stay tuned!
