【Call for Participants】Gifu University Walking Challenge 2026

The Gifu University Health Administration Center is pleased to announce the “Let’s Walk to the Moon Together! Walking Challenge 2026,” an initiative to promote the health and well-being of students, faculty, and staff.
This challenge aims to collectively accumulate enough steps from university participants across Japan to walk 2.5 round trips between the Earth and the Moon. This goal can be achieved by 10,000 participants walking an average of 8,000 steps per day for 30 days.

You don’t need to gather at a specific location to participate. Simply record your steps using a smartphone app or pedometer as you go about your daily activities, such as commuting to university, working part-time, or shopping.

In addition, everyone who achieves the target of averaging 8,000 steps per day will receive a Gifu University original hand towel and “Arare Ninja Tsubumaru” from the Gifu University Health Administration Center!
The top 10 participants will also receive a Gifu University original face towel!
Aim for the daily step goal and challenge yourself to reach the top 10!

You can participate individually or as a team. Why not enjoy getting active and improving your health with friends or fellow club members?
Turn your daily commute into steps and let's walk to the Moon together!
