We held the “Nutrition and Strength Training Seminar,” a collaborative project between the American Football Club and the Health Administration Center!
On Friday, April 24, 2026, the Health Administration Center, in collaboration with the American Football Club, held a nutrition seminar for students. This seminar was conducted with the aim of helping students engaged in sports understand the importance of proper diet and nutrition in their daily lives, and to support better physical development.
On the day of the event, registered dietitian Maki Takada delivered a lecture titled “Fundamentals of Diet for Athletes.” She provided a clear and accessible explanation of the nutrients necessary for improving athletic performance and maintaining physical condition, as well as key points to consider in everyday meals, using concrete examples.
In addition, Mayumi Yamamoto, Director of the Health Administration Center, gave a lecture on nutrition from a specialized perspective, offering participants an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the relationship between the body’s mechanisms and nutritional intake. Furthermore, members of the American Football Club gave a presentation on strength training, emphasizing that nutrition and training work together and are both essential elements that cannot be overlooked.
A total of 29 students participated in the seminar. Participants shared comments such as, “I want to continue making daily efforts and eat properly to build better muscles and achieve a stronger body,” “I’m glad I learned information I didn’t know before,” and “The concrete examples made it very easy to understand and useful for the future.”
Through this seminar, participants gained a deeper understanding of the close relationship between physical development and diet, and it served as an opportunity for each of them to reflect on their daily eating habits. In particular, it was a valuable chance to reaffirm the importance of maintaining a balanced diet during periods of lifestyle change, such as starting to live alone or adjusting to a new routine.
The Health Administration Center will continue to support each student in building a healthy body through the power of nutrition.
