The Health Administration Center provides support for students with disabilities.
If you require accommodations for studying due to a disability or chronic condition, please consult with us. We will work together to consider “what kind of support you can receive” and “how to proceed with the necessary procedures.” We will collaborate with the faculty and staff of your department or graduate school to develop and implement reasonable accommodations. Please be assured that consulting with us will not result in any disadvantage.
Disability support consultations are by appointment only, with each slot being 60 minutes. Support for Special Needs

Gifu University provides support for students with disabilities, as well as for students who experience difficulties in their university life. The Office for Students with Disabilities works with faculty and staff to arrange appropriate support for classes, examinations, and other academic activities. Support is considered on an individual basis, taking into account each student’s situation and needs. If you have concerns about your studies, please feel free to contact the Office for Students with Disabilities.

What Is Reasonable Accommodation?

Reasonable accommodation means necessary and appropriate support or adjustments that help students with disabilities participate in learning on an equal basis with others. At universities, this includes support that enables students to take part in classes and be evaluated fairly. Specifically, within a scope that does not place an excessive burden on the University, reasonable accommodation involves making changes or adjustments to ensure equal access to learning opportunities. This is achieved by removing barriers that hinder learning, or by providing alternative methods or appropriate support. Please note that reasonable accommodation does not guarantee outcomes such as earning academic credits, graduation, or improvement of medical conditions.
