【Call for Participants】Gifu University Walking Challenge 2025

This is an announcement from the Gifu University Health Administration Center about our new health promotion program for students, faculty, and staff:
“Let’s Walk to the Moon Together! Walking Challenge 2025.”

In this project, we will combine the total number of steps taken by participants from universities across Japan, aiming to walk 2.5 round trips between the Earth and the Moon. The goal can be reached if 10,000 participants each walk about 8,000 steps per day for 30 days.
You don’t need to walk together as a group—just record your daily steps using your smartphone or another device to participate.

Since its start in 2021, more universities have joined this initiative. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Gifu University Health Administration Center, and we are excited to take part in this event as a new wellness activity.
Participants who achieve the challenge goal will be eligible for prize drawings organized by the Japan Association of University Health Administrators, and our center is also preparing its own prizes!Details will be announced on the Health Administration Center’s website—please stay tuned!

You don’t need to walk 8,000 steps every day; just move at your own pace, starting with a single step.Even a small increase in your daily walking contributes to better health.
We encourage everyone to join and walk together toward wellness!

Wellness Day Event Held!

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Health Administration Center hosted a Wellness Day event.
Through a campaign in collaboration with Eiyo Tsuna Pro and Zespri International Japan, 600 kiwifruits and health education materials were distributed for free.
We also held a nutrition seminar and a heatstroke prevention lecture conducted by a registered dietitian.
More than 100 students participated in the SAT system experience offered by the Gifu City Public Health Center, providing a great opportunity to reflect on balanced meals and the benefits of fruits.
The Health Administration Center will continue to hold events that promote wellness.
